Inspired by traditional Faroese shawls, this geometric design includes a modified Estonian stitch pattern and a popular Shetland lace insert – to create an overall woven & twined effect, similar to the results resist-dyed cloth using the Arashi Shibori technique.
Note: new samples knit with 100% superwash Merino lace yarns were substantially larger than the original, even when knit to gauge!

Errata

- 4/26/12: There is a mistake in line 5 of Chart E. A corrected version of the Chart is available for download/ printing here.
- 5/6/12: There is a missing YO on Row 15 of Chart C (Stitch 12 on the chart). The first five sts should be: YO, k2, k2tog, YO.
